Our History

Barry and Julie Pickering moved to Queensland in 2000 to further their own property investment opportunities. Very quickly however they found themself advising family and friends on what to buy and where to invest. The growing popularity of their advice to property investors, convinced them to open a small property investment advisory business in January 2001 known as Onsite Direct.

The company and the Pickering's popularity Australia wide grew quickly and by June 2001 they moved to larger modern premises in central Surfers Paradise, known as the Onsite Direct exhibition centre. In 2002 Barry was approached to be a Key Note Speaker at the Melbourne and Sydney Property Expo's, his clear, simple to understand message on property investment was a hit with the 1000's of property investors, and the company exploded on the back of his teachings. When Barry released his Book "After the Bomb went Off" and CD collection in 2004 the company had grown to 8 major offices and 150 staff. In 2004 , 2005 and 2006 Barry was the Key Note speaker at the World Property Summit and became passionate about ethics in Australian Real Estate. He was a foundation member and Board Member of the Property Investment Professionals of Australia, a group set up to attack head on ethics in property investment.

In January 2008 Barry and Julie reluctantly sold Onsite Direct to the ASX listed Asian Pacific Ltd as they felt it's future and staffs would be best served in a public company enviroment.

In March / April 2008 Asian Pacific Ltd became one of the first companies to hit financial trouble that we now call the world financial crisis. Fearing for the futures and welfare of their former loyal staff, Barry and Julie commenced negotiations with Asian Pacific's administrators to buy back the business and name. With staff uncertainty and administrators in no hurry, Barry and Julie started Adayoun Capital Markets in May 2008 and employed many of the original staff that started with Onsite Direct back in 2001.
